Television consoles and Entertainment centers
Plasma screen television console
This is a highly-figured tiger maple television console with internal cooling fan for the electronic components it houses. Notice the 'hidden' brass knife hinges and solid 3" thick tapering legs.
The weight of the plasma screen required special structural considerations.
This electronics console will range between $4000-$4600. This same design is mass-produced elsewhere of inferior materials for $4700.
I have since included a short page with additional images of this piece being made.

Notice the hand-polished varnished surface which is impervious to water, alcohol and other solvents. The solid endpanels are 'bookmatched'. And all joinery is mortise-and-tenoned.
Sliding shelves house wireless laptops. The back is removable for easy access to electronic components.
Butternut entertainment center
This distressed butternut console, or entertainment center, was designed to hold and hide a multitude of electronic components, including a state-of-the-art IR receiver which enables all components to be fully operated remotely from anywhere in the room with the doors closed. The back of the console is removable for easy wiring. The wires themselves are routed through brushed grommets in the back. Because heat destroys electronic components, a powerful but absolutely quiet fan for cooling all internal components is an integral part of the design. This fan turns on automatically when the amplifier is powered up.
The style features hand-forged iron hardware and offset square dowels at all the joints. The thick moldings have been handcut and gently 'aged'.
This console would run between $3500-$5000 depending upon the electronics.
