Trestle benches
In order to increase seating space around the trestle table pictured above, my client ordered this quartersawn oak trestle bench with complementary brass leaf inlays. These benches have become increasingly popular, in part, due to their versatility.
I have seen them used in front of fireplace hearths, as game tables for little ones, and, of course, as additional seating.
These benches feature "keyed" trestles which are very similar to through keyed tenons.
