Aromatic cedar chest
A very large round topped custom cedar chest with brass finishings. To give you an idea of scale, this chest is nearly four feet long. It also incorporates almost 300 countersunk brass screws.
Only the exterior of the cedar chest has a finish. This enables the aroma of the cedar to permeate the chest's contents.
I made this heirloom cedar chest for my wife's parents almost 15 years ago. If I were to make it today I would probably use more massive handles to offset the size of the piece.
